Double Chocolate Oreo Cookie Skillet

What's better than a cookie with Oreos and chocolate? An entire double chocolate Oreo cookie skillet that you can eat with a spoon. This cookie skillet has a chocolate dough and is PACKED with chocolate chips and crushed up Oreos. Does it get any better than that?!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups (300 grams) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups (313 grams) all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (40 grams) cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, plus more for topping
  • 1 cup crushed up Oreos, plus more for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) and grease an 8 or 9-inch skillet. You can also use a pie dish. Set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or using a handheld mixer, beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar together on medium-high speed until lighter in color and fluffy. About 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat on medium speed until combined.
  • Right on top of the wet ingredients, add the flour, cocoa powder and baking soda. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds, then turn the mixer up to medium-high speed and mix until a dough forms.
  • Add the chocolate chips and crushed up Oreos and fold together until fully incorporated throughout the dough. Press the dough into the prepared skillet, and bake for 25-27 minutes until the edges are set and slightly crispy, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let cool for five minutes, then enjoy warm topped with ice cream, or let cool until room temperature and enjoy.
